Robert Travnicek began his public health career with the United States Public Health Service. In 1968 he transferred into private practice in Wilber, Nebraska. Twenty-two years later, in 1990, he joined the Mississippi State Department of Health as the District Medical Director for Public Health District IX. Dr. Travnicek is married with two children.
