Immunology Division
The immunology division conducts testing in support of the HIV/STD Program, Family Planning Program, Maternity Program, the TB Program, and the Epidemiology Office. Some assays provide routine surveillance information such as HIV screening of all new jail inmates in the state and Hepatitis screening of all health department maternity patients. Other assays are done in response to outbreaks such as hepatits A antibody screening for restaurant employees. Arbovirus screening is provided to support continuing surveillance of mosquito-borne illness.
