Trauma Registry Committee

The State Trauma Registry Data Committee provides a forum to discuss issues and concerns regarding the trauma data collection software and the Central Site Trauma Registry. The Trauma Registry Data Committee is made up of Trauma Coordinators, Trauma Registrars, and Regional Directors from across the State along with members from The Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. It also provides a forum to discuss other topics such as additional education needs and ways to enhance the software to address the needs of the Trauma Care System. Because the Trauma Registry is a vital tool in the development of the Trauma System, it is essential to address the problems related to software and look for areas of improvement through this committee.

The Trauma Registry Data Committee developed a data dictionary for use in clarifying the data that is entered into the registry. The Committee selected Collector as the new software to enhance the productivity of the Statewide Trauma Registry.

The Trauma Registry Data Committee meets quarterly.
