Designated Trauma Centers must have adult and
pediatric equipment capable of caring for severely injured trauma patients
to participate in the Mississippi Trauma Care System.
These requirements
on equipment vary with the level of participation by the Trauma Center.
The essentials and desirables chart in the Mississippi Trauma System Rule
and Regulation informs the Trauma Centers of their requirements for this
equipment.
- "E" (essential)
the Trauma Center must have this equipment to function at the center's designated level.
- "D" (desired)
the designated Trauma Center is not required have this equipment.
- "–"
indicates equipment not required for that particular level.
