This class gives an understanding of how to set up reports and what data you are looking for in these reports. This class is recommend prior to the Advanced which is more in-depth in the reporting structure. |

To begin the process a hospital needs to send a letter to the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services requesting to enter the Trauma System at the Level desired with Administration and Medical Staff signature on it. |

To the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services it is due April1st and October 1st. Each Trauma Care Region requires Trauma Centers to submit this to them prior to these dates to submit it to the Bureau of EMS by these dates. |

Qualified claims are submitted to Horne CPA firm, then the MS State Department of Health, Bureau of EMS submits funds to the seven Trauma Care Regions for qualified Physicians and Trauma Centers. The Regions then disburse these funds to the correct Physician and Trauma Center. |
