The Asthma Coalition of Mississippi (ACM) strives to eliminate asthma among Mississippians by promoting education, prevention and management of asthma throughout the state.
The ACM has local asthma coalitions in each of the nine public health districts to organize persons and organizations with an interest in asthma activities.
Each local coalition works with the state Asthma Coalition. The regional coalitions are:
- Northwest Asthma Coalition of MS (NW-ACM)
- Northeast Asthma Coalition of MS (NE-ACM)
- Delta Asthma Coalition of MS (D-ACM)
- Tombigbee Asthma Coalition of MS (T-ACM)
- West Central Asthma Coalition of MS (WC-ACM)
- East Central Asthma Coalition of MS (EC-ACM)
- Southwest Asthma Coalition of MS (SW-ACM)
- Southeast Asthma Coalition of MS (SE-ACM)
- Coast Asthma Coalition of MS (C-ACM)
State Asthma Plan
The ACM, with guidance from the MDH and American Lung Association of Mississippi, developed the State Asthma Plan in early 2006.
Partners are working to implement portions of the plan through 2010.
