By implementing this electronic surveillance system, the Department will be able to receive one file from hospitals and
provide the data to the many surveillance programs (i.e. Asthma, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc.) based on levels of security.
The MSDH Asthma Program STRONGLY encourages hospitals to participate in the MSDH's statewide electronic
surveillance system in order to streamline hospitals' data reporting requirements by avoiding duplicate MSDH data requests.
