Dental Corrections Program
The Dental Corrections Program purchases dental services for eligible children under the age of 18. These children have severe dental problems and are not eligible for financial assistance from other sources such as Medicaid, Head Start, or private insurance.

Priority Conditions
The following conditions will be given priority for consideration
Severe decay in more than ten teeth
Congenital or hereditary dysplasia of the teeth.
Cysts and tumors of odontogenic (dental) origin.
Handicapping conditions with special dental needs.

Coverage

Limits of Coverage
The Dental Corrections Program will pay the provider for dental services according to the Medicaid Fee Schedule. If a child's treatment requires hospitalization or an outpatient surgical facility and general anesthesia, the Program can assist with these expenses. Based on family size and income, a child may qualify for full assistance (100% of expenses) or partial assistance (75%, 50% or less).

The Dental Corrections program does not cover any orthodontic procedures. When some third-party assistance is available (Medicaid, for example), the Program will not consider paying for treatment exceeding the limits of that coverage.
