Background
Donald E. Eicher III has served for over 4 years at MSDH. Prior to becoming the Director of the Office of Health Policy and Planning, he was a Special Assistant Attorney General
for the Attorney General of the State of Mississippi assigned to MSDH as legal counsel and as a Senior Attorney at MSDH in the Office of Policy and Planning.
Before joining MSDH, Don was an attorney in the private practice of law in Mississippi for approximately 10 years.
Don received his Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, School of Business, Emphasis in Telecommunications, School of Engineering,
cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, and Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Don is admitted to practice law in both
Mississippi and Alabama.
