Background
Sharon Smiley became the Internal Auditor for MSDH after serving as Chief Financial Officer of the agency since 2004. Prior to employment with the State Department of Health, she held positions with the Office of
the State Auditor and the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services. She received a Bachelor and Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Mississippi,
and holds the certifications of Certified Public Accountant and Certified Public Manager.
