Background

Kathy G. Burk was appointed Director of the Women, Infants and Children's Program in 2003. Burk, a certified public manager, has over 23 years of experience in MS state government. She received a bachelor's degree in Social Work from MS University for Women and a master's in Social Work from the University of Southern MS. Burk also completed the South Central Public Health Leadership Institute through Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
